Jewellery intro

August 28, 2012 Mary

Although I don’t actually wear much by way of jewellery, I do love making pieces for friends and loved ones for birthdays and Christmas so that they can see the thinking that has gone into it for them as an individual – you can’t get much more personal than that!

Making your own jewellery can become rather addictive though and does (generally) need some tools, but there are plenty of gorgeous things that you can make from just a few bits and bobs so do check in and take a look at what I’ve been “dabbling” with…

Making a lariat, or a jingly bracelet, or something especially seasonal (yes, I’m thinking Christmas), or even stringing together some gemstone chips or beads – simple yet effective, and inexpensive. Babs tends to use her pendants and necklaces that she no longer wears as curtain tie-backs in her bedroom – a little odd, but pretty.
