Bake intro

August 28, 2012 Babs

What better time to re-ignite any latent passion for baking than as the new season of “The Great British Bake Off” gets into its stride. With the saintly Mary and devilish Paul, this year’s bakes seem to be a little tougher (to bake, not necessarily on the palate!).

So what will we include here in the Dabble Bake section?

Favourite tried and tested recipes, ideas for foodie gifts, perhaps some kitchen porn if we can get away with it – just a little (think Kenwood’s kMix, the Moulinex Masterchef, purple Agas – or is this just me?). Coming very soon (they are cooling as I write this – must remember to take photos of the finished product before it is all eaten!) is my favourite Brownie recipe – I don’t care how pompous it may seem – it is the best ever. Really… And ideas for things to make for presents – some of which we need to get cracking with now – flavoured vodkas, jams, anything that is better for leaving to mature for a few months.

We’ll not be going mad on the baking side of things, but we do dabble in the kitchen too, so…
